Barton 226 dp indicator
The Model 226 Differential Pressure (DP) Indicator is used to measure the amount of liquid flow or fluid. The indicator has a dial of 3 inches with a 270 ° key range. The tool is linked to the low-and high-pressure ends of a main unit situated in the system queue for stream readings. The main unit can be any pressure drop tool such as an orifice plate, venturi pipe, or stream pipe. For liquid concentration readings, the tool is linked to monitor alterations in hydrostatic pressure induced by fluid height differences in a ship. The D.P. motion. Indicator has null and period adjustment micrometer screws. These modifications can be made without withdrawing the scale screen or the signaling pointer.
In applications where weight and room are at a cost, the ITT Barton Model M226C is used. Widespread use in jet engine and rocket test programs, ground support equipment for aircraft, water treatment, and air conditioning systems. Many liquefied gas producers and retailers specify it for liquid tier indicator of products such as: LOX, CO2, ammonia, nitrogen, helium, hydrogen, and argon. The M226C’s primary elements are the M224C Differential Pressure Unit (DPU) and the Indicator. For comprehensive data about the actuating DPU.

The DPU thrust pipe shaft is linked to the signaling mechanism’s motion supporter rod. In reaction to the differential stress introduced, the torque tube rotor rotates. The torque tube belt motion is transferred through the motion supporter frame and the related system to place the identifying pointer at the place on the index scale closest to the differential stress felt by the DPU.
A polyethylene sac is used to safeguard the tool from contamination for applications needing unique cleaning / precautions. This bag should only be removed under conditions of extreme cleanliness. Barton M226 checks the ride elbow for torque tube connection for tightness by introducing torque created by the DPU to a fixed drive elbow. Pressure should be implemented gently as torque is transferred to the link through the torque tube ride shaft and not the torque tube itself.
